Meet Your Comfort Keepers
Every Comfort Keeper has a natural gift for caring for others. This is the most important quality, but rest assured each and every one has:
- Passed a rigorous screening and interviewing process
- Completed appropriate continuing education courses
- Received extensive, and continuous, training
- Passed background checks
- Acquired the necessary state-mandated bonds and insurance, as well as workers' compensation insurance
Comfort Keepers is a family thing for the Magills who have been operating the Omaha and Council Bluffs offices since 2001.
As a former college basketball and soccer coach, Rick uses his mentorship abilities to attract and train a stellar team of Comfort Keepers, some of which have been there since the beginning.
"Helping seniors stay at home longer is what gets me out of bed in the morning,” says Rick. The combination of that passion and the wide variety of home health care services provided through the Comfort Keepers system have allowed the Magills to help hundreds of seniors live life to the fullest.
Every business team needs the Dreamer and the Doer. Denise is the Doer in this pair. As a former Financial Reporting Manager at ConAgra and a Senior Auditor at KPMG she makes sure all the I’s are dotted and the T’s crossed.
The Magills’ Comfort Keepers office, which employs over 100 area caregivers, was recently recognized as one of the top 25 offices nationwide for Operational Excellence. Additionally, they have been invited into the Comfort Keepers Presidents Club for top providers.
“We can do so much more for this community and are ready to help,” Denise says. She and Rick are constantly pursuing additional opportunities to assist the area seniors including starting a Certified Nursing Assistant training program to ensure there will be enough Comfort Keepers available in the future.
